I love the instrument - especially for the price!!!! - and have been really enjoying learning it! One of the strings broke after a couple days, and the one I replaced it with snapped before I could even get it tuned, but the latest is holding well. I did have to adjust the frets a bit with a tuner, but that wasn't the worst.

I was a little confused on ordering as the title said Iranian Tanbur but the description said Persian Tanboor. I can confirm that you will receive the item pictured and it is an Iranian tanbur.

This thing sounds and looks incredible! I cannot believe it was only $250. Shipping was extremely fast, got here in 4 days. The included soft case looks protective enough, and it came with some extra high quality strings. Tuning it was my first struggle, I think I have it figured out at G-G-C. I have no idea how to play it, as I’m sure most Americans would, but I look forward to learning the language of this beautiful ancient instrument.

I would absolutely recommend any guitarist or stringed instrument player to pick one of these up, at least to pay respect to what music used to be.
