FAQ
What tuning system does the KG ship with?
Turkish 24-tone equal temperament — the standard for makam music. This includes the standard Western chromatic notes plus the koma and bakiye intervals needed for Hicaz, Saba, Uşşak, and other Turkish makams.
Can I play standard Western music on it?
Yes — the standard 12-tone notes are all present. The additional microtonal frets sit between them and don't interfere with conventional playing.
Is the body the same as the more expensive CK-5?
The body shape and tonewoods are the same family (spruce top, rosewood back/sides). The CK-5 adds an upgraded cutaway, armrest, and the adjustable fret mechanism — the KG is the pure acoustic-projection version.
