HaPa Gold - Tunable, Bijan Kamkar signature series:
This model is the 2nd generation of Kamkar signature series. It’s tunable and the drumhead is Remo’s synthetic “Mondo® Head”. The Mondo® synthetic head is designed to offer a warm, deep tone compared with the first generation and a response inspired by a natural-skin daf.
When the so-called tuning is on point zero, the frame that has been vertically cut and separated in two parts will connect to each other and while tuning up, these two wooden parts will separate again. As a result, the pitch will move toward the higher notes or sharper sound when tuned up. The two wooden frame sections separate as the tuning is raised.
The complete instrument weighs between 730 - 760 g (1.6 - 1.67 lb.), including the fittings used in the wooden frame.
